I have always been a jewelry girl. It is how I express myself, feel good, and hold onto the moments that matter. When I was little, my grandma called me Zsa Zsa Gabor because I loved layering on jewelry just to feel a little extra. I think of her often while creating and growing August Mae. I know she would love this chapter of my life.

August Mae began with permanent jewelry. During those years, I learned what women truly wanted: pieces they did not have to take off, that held up to real life, and that carried meaning. I spent that time testing and sourcing chains that were durable, comfortable, and beautiful. I worked directly with suppliers who shared my commitment to quality. I learned what held up through workouts, vacations, long days, and everyday routines.

I realized I wanted the same thing for myself. So many pieces I owned were meaningful, but they did not last. I wanted jewelry I could live in. Pieces that felt personal and beautiful without being delicate or high maintenance.

That is why I use demi-fine jewelry. These materials look elevated, feel good on the skin, and hold up to daily wear. They offer the look and longevity of fine jewelry without the luxury price tag. Jewelry that lasts, feels special, and is still accessible enough to treat yourself or gift with intention.

And because I am a rescue mama to Sadie and Frannie, giving back to animals is part of who we are. A portion of our annual sales supports local shelters and rescue organizations that care for animals in need.
